Where is The Porter Center located?
The Porter Center is located in downtown Edgerton, Wisconsin. It’s an accessible,
community-centered venue with nearby street parking and additional public parking
within a block.
What types of events work well at The Porter Center?
The space is well suited for birthday parties, family celebrations, wedding recital
dinners, graduation parties, celebrations of life, corporate meetings, classes or
workshops, pop-up dinners, pop-up retail sales, and affordable meeting space for non-
profits.
How many people can the space accommodate?
The event hall comfortably seats approximately 75–80 guests.
What is included with the rental?
Each rental includes access to the event hall, 10 large round tables with chairs for up to
80 people, Wi‑Fi, ADA accessibility, three bathrooms, and two wall-mounted 70-inch
smart TVs.
Is there a kitchen available?
Yes. A full commercial kitchen is available when included in your rental. Food may be
brought in from any restaurant or caterer, or prepared on-site when kitchen access is
part of your booking.
What is the range of price?
Monday–Thursday: (special promotion through July 2026): $50/hour standard rate;
$35/hour for nonprofits or bona fide clubs (proof may be requested).
Friday–Sunday (special promotion through July 2026): – $250 flat rate for 6 hours
(meeting space + commercial kitchen).
A refundable $150 security deposit is due at booking. Rental fees are due no later than
7 days before the event.
When will my security deposit be refunded?
The security deposit is refunded within 10 business days after the event, provided all
rental terms are met and no damage occurs.
What are the rental hours?
Hours are flexible. Events must conclude by 11:00 pm, with some flexibility depending
on the event.
Can I bring my own food or alcohol?
Yes. Renters may bring their own food or use any local restaurant or caterer. Alcohol
may be brought in and served to guests, but it may not be sold.
Is cleanup included?
Cleanup time is generally included within your rental window. Renters are responsible
for setup, teardown, and returning the space to its original condition using the provided
checklist.
Is parking available?
Yes. On-street parking is available, with additional public parking lots located within a
block or less of the venue.
